The Digital Storytelling Cookbook explains how to create digital stories using images, narration and music with the help of digital tools such as scanners, voice recorders and presentation or movie software. Any teacher could use this site to gain an understanding of digital storytelling - what it is and how to do it. It supports 21st century skills by expanding the development of literacy to a variety of media (narration, images and music), while still focusing on the skills involved in telling a good story.

Some very good ideas in cookbook format. There are "how-tos" for Mac folks but it looks like the directions could be easily adapted for Windows people. However, there are some broken links on the Samples page and I didn't actually find samples of work.
